We are excited to announce the Theme for the upcoming City Planning and Urban Design Conference, “Governing the Future Cities: Political Issues, Challenges, and Experiences Worldwide.” With this Theme, the Conference aims to explore the political dimensions, challenges, and experiences in governing future cities across the globe, focusing on city planning and urban design strategies.

Cities are at the forefront of political, economic, and social transformations, presenting unique challenges and opportunities for governance. This Conference provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, scholars, and policymakers to discuss political issues, share experiences, and examine the challenges faced in governing future cities worldwide, particularly in city planning and urban design.

We invite submissions of research papers, case studies, and theoretical reflections that align with the conference theme and address the following subjects (but not limited to):
